At the same time, fermentation also faces many challenges. Among them, bacteriophages are a formidable beast that fermentation enterprises and research institutions are currently encountering.
A bacteriophage is a virus that parasitizes bacteria and is widely present in nature (in water, soil, and air). It specifically infects bacteria, enters the bacterial body, and then uses the host for efficient reproduction, causing the bacteria to lyse and thereby affecting the yield and quality of the fermentation liquid, as well as the safety of the product. If released into the environment, it can cause pollution to equipment, air, etc., and bring huge economic losses and reputational risks to the enterprise. Although there are various methods such as ultraviolet irradiation, ozone fumigation, formaldehyde fumigation, and hydrogen peroxide disinfection to control bacteriophages, the process is complicated and the effect is uncertain. Bacteriophages are small in size and can penetrate conventional filtration and disinfection barriers. Moreover, they can form dormant bodies in the environment and have certain resistance to conventional disinfectants. If the treatment is not thorough, it may recur at any time, and the time consumption is also not negligible.
Compared with these commonly used treatment methods, adding bacteriophage inhibitors does not require the time for environmental treatment. Even if bacteriophages have already erupted, they can still carry out fermentation normally after addition, without affecting the fermentation results. Bacteriophages that have not erupted can also be used as additives for bacteriophage prevention and control, avoiding sudden outbreaks of bacteriophages and reducing economic losses.

Scope of Application
Suitable for bacterial strains susceptible to phage infection; compatible with various common culture media such as LB and TB.
Usage instructions
In an environment free from or with slight contamination by bacteriophages, when inoculating, adding 1-2 milliliters of anti-phage agent per liter of culture medium (at a proportion of 1‰ - 2‰ of the total volume) can significantly prevent and counteract phage contamination, ensuring the normal growth of the bacteria.
In environments with severe phage contamination, to ensure the phage anti-phage effect, it is recommended to increase the usage concentration to 6-8 milliliters (with a proportion of 6‰ - 8‰ of the total volume)
